RESUME ADVICE (London)

Would like some advice on my resume/applications. London - would like to land an M&A role at a bank or corp dev at a tier 1 institution. Have never got past the CV screening stage and have tried to recruit over several application cycles. Any advice would be welcome.

Gotcha, won’t be able to comment much because I’ve never recruited fulltime for London but assuming you have the right to work in the UK, extend your bullet point all the way to the right so it makes your CV look full.

Also keep in mind you’re competing against a lot of European students with Masters in Finance + 2-3 IB internships or European bankers who want to lateral to London.

Just keep applying (and maybe networking) and I’m sure it’ll all work out. M&A is slowly picking up which is a good sign.

Use number grades for your GCSE results, it’s been 6 years since introduction of new system… letter grades signal that you got 8s instead of 9s and are trying to hide it
