Resume or not in the initial phone call email?
Sophomore student here. I am wondering what your opinions all are regarding including resumes in your first-time emails asking for calls from bankers. I usually do include my resumes as I like to believe that my experiences are pretty unique and can lead them to form a positive opinion of me. However I have noticed that my response rates are significantly higher if I don't include my resume. What do you guys think?
Not a personal fan of including a resume in a cold email. The reason being is you want to build a relationship and potentially leverage this person for more contacts. Typically after a first time phone call you can ask if they can check out your resume or they may even ask.
Just build the relationship and ask for any referral they have for you to speak with as well.
