Resume Questions during Interview

In you experiences, how nitty-gritty are interviewers regarding resumes? or do they usually just ask "walk me through your resume" and move on?

I did market research during one of my internships and was wondering if its necessary to go back and memorize all the stats and stuff about the different industries. will they grill me on the specifics of the industry?

I've had interviews where the entire interview was about my experience, and some where they let me "walk them through my resume" then move on - it depends on the interviewer. I don't know about memorizing stats, but you should be comfortable talking about what you did and what you learned in your experiences, otherwise it shouldn't be on your resume.

Typically they'll just say something like "Tell me more about what you did at Company XYZ" and your response dictates their next question. For example, if you answered with "I did research on a number of different industries and analyzed market trends" they might ask you to describe some of the trends you saw. They won't come out of left field with "What was the growth rate in industry X last year", they'll only ask questions based on the information you've provided.

My memory is not good, but if I really put lots of thoughts on the stats, I could remember them. If the interviewer did not ask, you could bring it up. No stats may not hurt you, but backing up your answer with numbers is def a plus.
