Return Offer Selection

This summer I'm working at my dream bank as an SA. Going forward, my sole goal is to obviously position myself for a return offer after the summer. I've done IB before as an SA and am familiar with the soft skills wanted from an SA. That said, I believe I can perform well in the eyes of my superiors. However, my concern is this..I had a very strong GPA in interviews, but it has dropped this year. Like 3.95-->3.7ish it seems it will be. At the end of my internship do they request my GPA again in the FT selection process? Would really appreciate any insight. Thanks.

I'm not sure what's with all the incredibly wrong advice in this thread but...sorry OP, your bank will substantially care about this unfortunate situation, and this will likely cause a lot of hesitation at the end of summer during round table discussions to decide which SAs get return offers. Dropping from a 3.95 to a 3.7 is a major head turner and while not a career destroyer, will certainly set you back a few years.

I'm sorry to hear about this. Have you thought about reneging while you still can and transferring to a less prestigious bank?
