returning emails

I am currently interviewing for SA positions and getting a lot of phone interviews.

Whenever I feel like I had a good chat with the interviewer and he/she did like me (a bit laugh and chat etc). I send them a thank you email asking for interview feedback but never get any email back... I am still waiting for the result of those interviews so I dont exactly know how well I did.

Is it just a common thing that people dont email back interviewees after phone interview?

I usually send some thing like this,

Dear.....

Thanks for interviewing me, great to speak to you etc....

I am very interested in xxxxxxxxxxx can you give me some feedback?

xxxxxxxx

I wouldn't worry so much about feedback as maybe a follow-up question or a simple thank you. If you don't get the job, then I'd reach out for a bit of constructive criticism, but if you do get the job then you've already got your answer. You're not going on pretend interviews, you are interviewing for a position and at least as far as the company is concerned it should be one of the only, if not the only position that you want. There's nothing wrong with getting feedback, but wait for the response first - don't jump the gun - honestly, some people might feel a little off about that ? and might not know how to answer it without leading you to one conclusion or another. In the meantime, a simple thank you and a follow-up question if you'd like is sufficient. Good luck.

A lot of people are not going to give feedback because A) it takes too much time and B) lawsuit issues, etc. I mean you never know when you will piss someone off. Suppose they came back and said " you kind of slurred your words" and you got upset because of a disability or something. Bam, lawsuit and it is all documented. Not saying that is the first thing that crosses a persons mind, but in today's world people are pretty conscious about what they say and do .

The thing is that I think I performed well in the interview and the interviewer did like my answers.....

funny why they wouldnt just drop one line or two back to say " you did good, good luck"
