Risk management to Trading/IBD

I have 2 years experience as a research analyst at a small broker whilst i studied during both of my bachelors and masters (maths and financial risk). I then interviewed at BB and got into the their Enterprise Risk team as a permanent no grad role. I have an interview with a bigger BB this Thursday for a market risk role.

I'm 24 and ive tried to apply to grad roles in IBD and Trading but can't seem to get past the numerical tests, i do terribly at interviews. Even though i know several IBD analysts who think i'm really smart. So is it too late to become an analyst. I never got to experience what other divisions are like. I want to explore and find where i can have a better impact. Risk is far too boring for me.

Any ideas? If i get the market risk role, exit opps are fairly limited.

Currently where i work i've been told my CV is suitable for a FO role.
