I was wondering what the actual role of a recruiter is beyond receiving and sorting through resumes. I believe they have one of the votes on whether or not to bring in a candidate for an interview, but can someone clarify their jobs for me?
Obviously, having a relationship with a recruiter helps, but what kind of pull, if any, do they actually have in the full-time job search?
