Rothschild NYC vs William Blair Chicago
Curious how these two places compare. Interested in consumer/retail. I know Blair is the top MM in Chicago, but I was wondering if anyone knew how dealflow, comp, and culture compare between the two. I’m more interested in long term IB than exiting to PE, but I’d like to keep my options open.
Honestly this decision should 100% be made on whether or not you wanna live in nyc or Chicago. The banks are comparable enough and the real culture will be set at the group level. Geography is such an underrated aspect of recruiting. Go to the city you would be happiest, these are both great opportunities
I would prefer Chicago, but I also want to work on a good consumer team lol. I know Blair has a strong one, and I know Rothschild has a strong consumer team in London, but I can't find info on New York.
You want to work in Chicago. You know Blair has a top MM consumer team. Seems like an easy decision to me.
