royal resume f*ck up...still got an interview

Hi Everyone,

Shit on me now please...but I royally messed up my resume (left the dates off of a job), but still got a few interviews in BB IBD. How should I approach the error? Should I bring a new copy of my resume and just come right out about it? Would it be best to hope they don't say anything but have a response? If so, any ideas on what to prepare?

Thanks!

In the interview, you could just offer an 'updated' resume at the beginning and hope they don't ask what the differences are.

Don't even worry about it. To echo what others have said, once you get the interview, which you have, the actual look of the resume and content aren't as important as how you do during the interview. Rock the interview and don't even think twice about the mistake.

You can absolutely bring updated resume, but unless other things have materially changed besides the date range, I wouldn't just hand it out (unless they don't happen to have a copy of your resume on them, in which case obviously give them one and be happy). If they ask about the dates just be honest and give them the dates and let them know that you just forgot to put them in - it's not a big deal to the point of a deal breaker.

The only way this can really hurt you in those interviews is if you get uncomfortable or awkward about it if you are questioned, or worry about them asking and lose confidence or presence.

Good luck.
