SA 2020 - About to sign an offer, should I keep applying to every possible firm for no reason?
Basically title, can't I always renege if something better pops up. Even if not, good interview practice as far as pressure goes.

If it’s the same industry, word will likely get back to the employer you signed with that you are interviewing
I asked a friend in the industry (but not at the firm I was joining) about this after I signed for my SA, and he strongly warned me against. There is just massive downside and very little upside.
I'm not going to even go into the risks of reneging (search on here for it, there's plenty of threads that talk about it), but even just interviewing can land you in a ton of trouble. Wall Street is smaller than people think, and it's just too risky that somehow word of you interviewing will get back to the bank you signed with. My friend told me that, if you've signed with a bank and they hear you were interviewing, they take that as an intention to renege and will immediately pull your offer. Absolutely not worth the risk
Thirding the above. Recruiting talk gets around quickly, even if you just want interview practice you're risking your offer
