SA and FT same firm

Hi

I am in the final year of my school. No prior internships in IB.I wanted to know if you are eligible for both the FT recruiting in fall and SA recruiting at the end of Fall.

Non Target school. Good GPA standing. Previously IT Business analyst experience - 3years. Summer: Data analyst at Blomoberg terminal in school. Bloomberg certification most likely this semester.

My plan:

Try to network and get an interview for FT recruiting. I know its hard without previous IB SA experience. Try hard to get interview and perform well. Parallel to that apply to SA and interview for SA in the spring.

I know there are many obstacles in this path , but wanted to know if we are allowed to apply for both SA and FT in the same firm. I wanted to know so that i could decide on which path to follow. Have any of your friends or acquaintances followed this strategy?

my friends was in the very same situations as you guys. He ended up having a full time offer with LEK doing management consulting. I think he started his recruting process as soon as the summer started. He contacted as many people as possible and contacted recruting managers and told them his story. Everything ended up working out for him.

I think the key thing to do is to get in contact with the recruiters and follow up with them. Another piece of advice that I have is to try to get an internship with a small boutique bank this summer. Believe or not, there may be some boutiques that are still hiring. Some experience is better than none. Hope this helps.
