SA25 Return Offer Outlook

Assume there are a few posts on this already, but wanted to consolidate here:

How will return offer rates look for incoming SAs this Summer? Did most firms overhire last year or did they mostly do so this year (SA26)? (last year, outlooks were just becoming more optimistic but not quite so much as during recruiting a few months ago)

2025 SAs were not over hired because the market didn't look so good in late 2023 and early 2024. 2026 SAs were over hired.

Yea but who knows what the market will look like in a year. We could go all the way from market shocks this year to a solid economy in 2026 and SAs ended up being properly hired. Ultimately the banks put themselves in these positions because they determine a class size that wont even enter the building for 1.5 years based on the current economy.
