Salary Comparison Internationally
I was hoping to find out more about what the differences in salary are across different nations (US, UK, Japan, China...) in the fields of investment banking, investment management, hedge funds, trading, consulting, etc.
I am considering working in a different country because I have the freedom to do so currently and think it would be a neat idea. However, I do not want to forfeit a huge amount of salary by doing so. Does anybody know of a site that has statistics on what I might be looking for or are willing to share personal views?
i have a friend that works in HR for a major BB
if you work at a major BB at the more junior levels (analyst / associate), the pay is pretty global, meaning its pretty much the same across the board (at least base salary though bonus varies depending on group)
Thank you for the response. I did not realize that the salary is approximately the same globally at major BB's. I would love to hear more if anyone has any information that they would be willing to contribute.
pay is global.
The IB I'm intering at in the ME pays about 55k to analysts, mind you they work 8-4, get a few weeks paid vacation, and pay no taxes. At upper levels the pay gets better, but for the hours and vacation time it's not such a bad deal..in better economic times they make more.
