SAT - Valid excuse?
What is a valid excuse for low SAT? My case, I was planning on going to art school (yeah, really) and do screenwriting... so I didn't really take it seriously. Something tells me I shouldn't rely on that excuse...
How low are we talking about here?

i'm not trying to justify - the bottom line is i'm more than competent, great CV aside from that. will everyone ask? will i def. get dinged (in the interview) due to that?
you'll get dinged if they ask cause there are a lot of people who are just as competent/great CV who probably cracked 1100 in 7th grade.
Depends. At UT, all the consulting firms and a growing number of banks are requiring you submit SAT scores prior to the interview screening process. I know some places have specific cut-offs. For example, HBK Investments required a math score of 750. A buddy of mine had a 740 and didn't get an interview.
There is no excuse for breaking 700 on the SAT math, even without studying.
Who cares about verbal.
