Second Chance
I interviewed with a couple firms now for FT and made it to all the superdays only to be rejected, I am now contemplating delaying my graduation a semester (my parents don't mind) in order to not only get a SA role, but also be able to get a FT role when it comes time to recruiting again. Banking is what I want to do and I don't want to give up just yet. My question is for the firms I got rejected from, will they even consider me again 1 year later or is it kind of a situation where if you get rejected once you're done......and also on that note if I have an internal contact from the banks I got rejected from, is it wrong for me to reach out to them AGAIN and explain that I have delayed my graduation and was wondering if they can help me get looked at for SA or should I be saving the favor for when it comes time to FT again? sorry for all the questions, just really worried about being annoying to these guys.
Good question. Anyone?
They will reconsider you. I interviewed with some BBs more than once (same division).
wanna know this too.
Depends. It you have significantly improved your credentials over the time, they will likely to give you a second look. If you are still the same old, then your chance will be slim.
I would recommend using a new profile at any previously rejected bank career site. You want to minimize the connection to your previous rejection.
