Securitized Products - Transferrable skills

I am currently an analyst in the securitized products origination group. I want to know how transferable are the skills that you gain in this group. I know that M&A would be a stretch, but what about leveraged finance or coverage groups? I mainly work on consumer based products (ie credit cards, auto loans, etc.), but have worked on some solar deals and small business loans. Let me know your thoughts.
