Selling life insurance during college, transferrable value?

I got an offer as a life insurance sales-intern for New York Life. Payment is 100% commission, but the earnings potential is above most other internship opportunities. Given that I would be selling financial packages, would this job be a great benefit to my career portfolio? I would like to work as a financial analyst after I finish my education.

Everyone knows by "selling insurance" you mean those pyramid schemes they advertise on the Craglist job boards.... do you really want to be associated with that sort of job???

I did a similar internship and it was extremely valuable. I got to meet with a 100 different people (some very successful). You'll gain some financial knowledge but mostly sales and the relationship side. If you're looking into analyst position it might not be the best.
