Selling your self to b school (undergrad)

So I'm at a crappy community college right now working full time. I'm hoping to transfer to IU kelly and get in the investment banking workshop. Although I have very good grades now, I've had to retake a bunch of classes from dropping out of college at 19, so my transcript isn't so pretty.

As a part of my job I'm a member of a local BNI network, I bring in a lot of revenue through this group and might be able to get into an office within the commitee. If you don't know what it is, http://www.bni.com/. Will holding an office, or just being a member in general help with undergrad admission?

Will patenting an idea help? I have an idea that has been forming in my head for about 5 years now, recently I had a breakthrough. 2 weeks ago I drew it out on paper, and may be contacting a lawyer soon. If this works I will try to license it to a company for a small royalty. I have no intrest in becoming an engineer, would holding a few (possible 3) patents look good on an application?
