I don't know about cards, but I would always send thank you emails to everybody after my interviews.
I was thinking about sending cards to all the people who interviewed me, and thanks to whom I got my job offer. I figured it might be a bit too much though.
Remember, you will always be a salesman, no matter how fancy your title is.
We interviewed a guy who must have gone home right after the interview and dropped thank you letters in the mail because we got them 2 days later. It was a definite plus for him as we hadn't decided yet and it was one of those little things that set him apart from the mass e-mails most send. Not hand-written or anything, that may have been a little much, but just a quick printed, signed letter. Nice touch.
