Serious Difficulty in Financial Modelling

Rising freshman at a target here. Over the summer, I've spent a bit of time working on my technicals, and I think I have my 400 questions down. However, I am having serious difficulties building financial models, especially from scratch. I feel like I have no idea where to start. Any advice, apart from telling me to get bitches?

There are plenty of resources on YouTube which are great. A lot of them are watch-along, where you can follow every single step they do, I would highly recommend using these to start with. FYI, it's great that you want to learn to build models from scratch, but once you start working you realise everything is so template driven
