Never been to the UK before, and I'm wondering how (asides friends & family) one could source neccesary funds for stuff like flight, accomodation, etc for a summer IBD pending payment of 1st intern salary (I'm from a country with particularly weak currency relative to GBP); hypothetical loan source(s) perhaps?

Did my summer in London last summer and the whole class were reimbursed plane or train tickets from wherever they wanted to London to start the summer.
Some friends at another bank got a relocation bonus too.
Reimbursement isn't my biggest problem, it's getting the cash to spend in the first place

You could try a loan in your country of residence? It’s only for a month so shouldn’t be too punitive.
