SF Banking Lifestyle - Good / Bad?

I'm a SA at a tech group in the SF / Bay Area (GS, MS, Q, EVR, JPM) curious about what it is like living there full time as a banker. Do you guys enjoy living in SF? Do you see yourself staying long-term? Why did you choose to work in SF versus NY? Based on your experience, is it realistic to land buyside jobs in NY post banking? Do you have time to go out and explore the city on the weekends? What do you typically go do? Would you say there is a vibrant scene of young people / is it easy to meet people at bars/clubs?

Thanks!
