I'd agree with this as well, financial district in SF isn't a great place to live.
don't live in DT or SOMA, it's super dead on the weekends and it always smell like piss and vomit.
Look up Pacific Heights, Russian Hill, Nob Hill (not Lower Nob Hill), North Beach, Telegraph Hill, Twin Peaks and douchey Marina/Cow Hollow.
