Shall I buy a laptop for SA IB position or wait for bank to give

Hi, should I buy a laptop for my SA role in IB or shall I wait for next summer and my employer to directly give me a laptop? The reason I was thinking about this was because I have been using mac since day one and haven't got a lot of experience on windows. Thanks!
