Should I Follow Up on Status Post-Interview?

Current junior in the process of an off-cycle role. Sent a thank you follow up post-interview couple hours after, interviewer replied saying he will keep me updated on the process.

Its been a week now and I'm anxious — do I send another email asking about status?

“Very easygoing, helped quite a lot with the specific questions I had with how AI is changing the work analysts are doing. Really helped with narrowing down my focus on what's important to be focusing on. It was very easy to understand, even though the call audio disconnected for a second. All of this, on top of the fact that I scheduled it last night and had a conversation with him pretty much 12 hours after scheduling, the ease of scheduling is quite significant. Overall, I put a 9 because I think the communication with it lagged once for a little bit, plus the noticeable French accent kind of bumped it down from a 10, but everything else was fabulous. ”
