should I get an internship while at summer school?
I'm a freshman and I will attend summer school at my college for this summer. I'm thinking if i should do an investment banking summer internship while taking courses at school. I expect the internship in a Chicago regional/middle-market bank.
But there are some concerns:
1. if I don't get any meaningful work/assignment from this internship, it will be total waste of my time and it may even hurt my GPA.
2.if I get some substantial work related to financial modeling, I may get difficult questions in my future interviews; if I can't answer those hard questions, it will hurt my interview.
but on the positive side, an internship may enhance my resume because not all freshmen can get an investment banking internship for the summer.
So is it worth it?
