Should I learn python for IB?
Just wondering whether learning python would be useful for going into IB. Would it be helpful either for getting the job itself or during the job?

No. Don't waste your time - spend it networking or learning BIWS 400 instead.
Sure. It won't help you get a job in IB necessarily, but its a good skill to have that you can utilize to pivot into other finance / quant roles if interested.
Keep your options open.
Mhm for some reason I assumed he was like a sophomore or junior in college, but looks like he's just about to start freshman year this fall. Definitely a different scenario then.

As a senior in high school, let me ask you--how prevalent is coding talked about in high school (or taught, I'm assuming taught is very little)? Is it as prevalent among your class as cell phones are, or more less, maybe similar to how many high schoolers are interested in golf?
