Also started my career in consulting, and one of the reasons why I transitioned was that banking requires more technical skills and opens more doors. Pretty interesting to hear someone from consulting ranting about the repetitiveness of banking lol.

You have only been with IB for 1 year...ofc no one will see you as a top banker.
