Lateraled from one BB to another BB as a VP in. Nyc last year and have many friends that have done similar to other BBs/EBs
You will probably not get a sign on bonus. That isn’t really a thing. You will get your current unvested RSUs swapped out though. And you should get a guaranteed bonus # for the upcoming bonus cycle but it’s usually expressed verbally and not written in the actual offer letter.

BB NYC — haven’t heard of folks getting a sign-on at that level, but relocation packages seemed pretty common if you're moving from another city. Banks will typically also buy out any unvested RSUs. Also seen people who moved to a lower-tier bank negotiate some kind of minimum bonus guarantee — usually getting promised a mid-to-top bucket bonus in their first year (and in rare cases, second year too). Most recent example: folks who moved from BB/EBs to places like Santander, Mizuho, etc.
