SMBC to BB
Was hoping to get some Analyst+ takes on this. SA 2023 with SMBC a good pivot point for FT roles within BB?

In reality though, do you think it would be a good way to apply for FT roles with BB's?
Is it ideal or probable, no. Is there a chance, of course. You should target the same group you’re in at SMBC
Currently in SMBC CB, and the transition to a BB would be doable but quite difficult. And SMBC, in IB has a much lesser reputation than other banks, compared to CB, particularly my group.
Agree with the other comments, doable, very difficult, definitely a meaningful experience if its one of the few on your plate.
