SNL Financials vs Bloomberg Cost

Hey - I was wondering if any of you monkeys could PM me with how much SNL Financials is costing. I'm curious to see if they're much cheaper than how much Bloomberg will cost the firm ... without the 24/7 call of sales. If anyone is able to help me out .... thanks!!

Which Financial Data Vendor is Better? SNL Financials vs Bloomberg

SNL Financials is a leader in sector-specific analytics, largely focused on FIG and Energy and Utilities. It was acquired by S&P Global Market Intelligence in 2015, bringing together S&P Capital IQ and SNL Financials in one place. The platform still exists, just under a new name.

Bloomberg is considered the industry leader in financial data. It has a wider scope than SNL and tends to be more expensive – a single license is over $2K a month.

While it’s tempting to try and get a quote from another WSO user, you’ll probably have to contact the sales teams at both to figure out what level of service you need and how much that will cost. But if we’re wrong, please comment below!

SNL's not much cheaper than that -- but try negotiating. They're more focused on FIG (plus energy and utilities, though I've never used those), and are pretty decent with that. Is that info available on Bloomberg? Sure, but it's a bit less user-friendly FWIW...
