Social Life as Analyst?

I interned over the summer with a BB coverage group that had an awful culture. There was no sentiment of being friends outside of work or really even spending any time together after work. There were no group dinners or drinks and people pretty much came in did their work and left without making an effort to get to know each other. I am going to a different bank full time partly because I hated the culture.

I understand that people don't want to hangout with each other after work all the time because you already spend unreal amounts of time together working. But I noticed other groups would do drinks or dinners like once a week at least.

Regarding social life, what is your social life like? I have a lot of friends from college moving to NYC obviously but definitely was hoping to meet new friends through work. Is this the case for you? Or do you only hang with friends from college? Do you feel like the crazy hours have led you to lose a lot of your friends from not being able to see them often?
