Solomon Partners Info

Any info about how good/bad Solomon Partners is would be helpful. What would exit opps look like? Do most people just try to lateral to a better bank and then maybe go for PE? Also, how would you compare it to Mizuho or Wells Fargo specifically? Thank you for any information at all.

The few people I knew who worked there lateraled after a year to a BB or EB. They are an average MM that people tend to overhype on this website. The Vault ranking have them at #36 just for reference. Would rank the three 1-WF 2-PJS 3-Miz

They had a analyst video put out and they all seemed like fucking nerds

Ya I couldn’t imagine working there 💀 has been going downhill in recent years

If you want to do C&R or Healthcare, there’s no question Solomon Partners outshines WF and Mizuho. Honestly, Mizuho shouldn’t really be in the running if this is based purely on prestige, comp, and exit opps unless you want to do capital markets. However, if you like the culture/people there, then that’s a different story. WF has a very good REGL group. WF is more recognized than the other two, but Solomon gets high deal flow and really good MDs for the groups they are growing. But yes, the cringey video for Solomon is something to consider.
