Solutions to lack of work experience. Please help!

Hello everyone.

Not sure if it's the right forum. Would appreciate your advice nonetheless

I'm losing my mind over this. I have only 1 internship that wasn't that remarkable and would do absolutely nothing to help. Currently, I'm waiting for my master to begin in April (alternative entry. It's a target, but not on the top). Im trying to get any work experience, but nothing is working. I passed CFA level 1 and took level 2 last may.

Now the obvious question is why I'm not getting work experience. The answer to that question is the draconian conscription laws in my country. No company is legally allowed to hire graduates unless they have a clearance from the military. I deferred my service to study abroad, but I still don't have the clearance. The comically dystopian part is that I'm actually allowed to leave the country right now and work somewhere else.

I'm left to contemplate something elusive. Is there a solution to this issue? I'm good with financial modeling and fundamental analysis, so I think I'd be efficient for intern-level tasks, but haven't had proper exposure to experience. Are there boutiques or small firms (say, in London) that hire internationals (even if unpaid) for internships? Anything similar to that?

I understand this sounds ridiculous. But the issue is really bugging my ass.
