Somehow got a job at GS in TMT/FIG, what am I getting myself in for?
What is GS TMT/FIG actually like? I’m realizing I don’t actually know much about what I’ve signed up for.. hours, culture, deal flow, PE exit opps, non-PE exit opps…

To be fair, asking analysts what the hours and exits opps in a group are like would make for an awful coffee chat
FIG culture varies by vertical. FIG/TMT is quite a vague comparison lol
Any insight on TMT?
If you're not a nepo kid, then you're gonna get crushed. Have had several friends from my non-target get into GS as A&As and they do all the work while most of the nepo kids just chill.
Accurate at non GS BB as well.
If it's TMT, then experience/exits varies by SF vs NY. Correct me if I'm wrong, but SF has better deal flow but NY has better exits. Can someone elaborate?
