Sponsors Group v Generalist Group Exits
Does joining a sponsors group limit exits to PE/HF roles? Both roles would be at MMs. Honestly not really sure what I want to do post banking. I know PE is often glorified on here, and it's definitely something I'd consider, but I'm also open to exploring roles in growth equity/VC/startup. Would a sponsors group pigeonhole me to more traditional PE exits, or are any of the above possible? I've also heard that sponsors groups tend to be more "chill" for banking standards, which is something that appeals to me over generalist m&a.
