Sporting on high level vs. internship

Hi all,

Currently I am in the last year of my bachelor finance. Next year I will start my major, which I will complete in 2 years instead of one. Why? Because I need some more time to develop myself and gain relevant experience.

One of the things I am considering is to join a rowing club next year, and try to reach the highest first year rowing team. I really like rowing and am a sportive guy. This will need my full devotion and will be hard to combine with my studies. Do you think rowing on a high level (national championships etc) is good option, or is it a complete waste of time and should I try to do an internship at a dutch investment bank?

Hope you can give me some advice!
