Stifel Investment Banking vs. Citi Capital Markets Origination
Hi Everyone,
I recently got two internship offers and I'd love some insight on how to make the best decision. One is at Stifel in Baltimore for a generalist investment banking summer analyst position. The other is at Citigroup in Capital Markets Origination in New York City. I really want to be in NYC and at a bulge bracket but investment banking is my end goal. Thoughts?
Citi's origination has multiple desks within... try to get into ECM or LevFin desk and network into IB. You will also have a more enjoyable summer in NYC compared to balitmore :P
I'm pretty sure Citi will be pretty open to you trying to move into IB since CMO and IB are both FO jobs and the skills are pretty similar.
