Struggling in FT Recruiting

I come from a non-target and very fortunately landed a SA role at the one firm I got an interview with (MM regional office). I thought I did well over the summer and didn’t receive much feedback but didn’t convert. Staffer said it was a numbers thing and was willing to bat for me in any future recruiting processes.

I have support from my old team members but don’t know if I can even land another interview. I have been sending a lot of emails to groups I am interested in but have gotten no responses. It has been difficult due to a lack of common connection.

Does anyone have advice for someone in my shoes? I know that I have to keep going and get my work in, but it gets harder as it feels like I am going nowhere.
