Stupid Question, but want to know
This is a stupid question, I know, however did Morgan Stanley drop the name Smith Barney?
MS's PWM firms used to be called "Smith Barney", but I remember reading awhile back that they planned on dropping the Smith Barney portion and changing it to Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Did they undergo this change?
Thanks,

has to do with the citi deal I think
Smith Barney was Citi's wealth management arm. MS is slowly buying out all of Smith Barney from Citi and has dropped the name. It is now Morgan Stanley Wealth Management
Oh, thank you.
While we're discussing MS, I was wondering which internship would look better on a resume for a freshman, a PWM internship from ML or from MS?
Thanks in advance!

Why MS for sure? Merrill is more well known for his Wealth Management than Morgan Stanley, though Goldman has better cache with the ultra wealthy... Also, Merrill will likely poach a lot of MS's advisors...
