Summer 2018 Internship Guidance

Hi guys, I could really use some guidance on identifying my worth and seeing what internships I could realistically land as a summer 2018 intern with recruiting season right around the corner.

So, I am a rising senior in Finance at a non-target I have a 3.3 GPA and a 3.7 Major GPA. I have completed 2 internships at boutique AM firms but 1 was more like PWM and I did a lot of lead acquisition but actually broke record sales. I have a ton of leadership experience at my university including investment management related leadership. I also actively managed my own commodities fund for the summer and it produced some pretty phenomenal returns. If I need to elaborate on anymore credentials just let me know.

Now I'm really interested in AM, IB and Sales & Trading. My dream job is to work in a hedge fund for Energy. Everybody on this forum seems like they are good at giving it to you straight no sugar coating so that would be very helpful to me. Any advice on what I should be doing right now in preparation for an internship in the fields I want to be in would be greatly appreciated. Here is a list of some of the companies I plan on applying to, if you guys could let me know about anywhere else that may be a good fit for me or if any of these firms are even possible for me to get into that'd be great :)

Credit Suisse Morgan Stanley Vanguard RBC Capital Markets BB&T Capital Markets Oppenheimer JP Morgan Chase Wells Fargo Deutshe Bank Bank of America ML Lazard UBS BlackRock Citigroup Jefferies Raymond James Baird Centerview
