Anybody have any idea roughly how much these are, on average? (I didn't know they existed until recently, when I read ML's Vault profile.) $1K range? $5K range?

I think we paid our summer analysts anywhere between $2 - $5k. It may have been overly generous (we wanted them to stay!), but I'd be surprised if Associates didn't get more.
So do most summer analyst get a bonus at the end of the summer? What have people's salaries + bonus for the summer at different firms been?
