Ask someone to teach you the LBO / AD / DCF models if that doesn't come up until about 2 weeks left in your program - any competent associate should be able to help.

As a generalist, you should focus on at least some M&A, so I would expect public and transaction comps (how to pull from Cap IQ, FactSet, whatever you use), strategic and private equity buyer analysis (real important for an SA if you're in M&A and your bankers don't know the industry spot on), and then other than that - just working on whatever tasks need to get done for deals that have been signed up, pitches, and misc. marketing materials.
