Summer Intern: MS Internal Audit

Hi,
I wanted to know of your opinions on Morgan Stanley Internal Audit Division. I've been offered an internship opportunity there, and I eventually (as in next year) would like to intern in the Sales & Trading division.

I've also worked for an investment bank in the past, one that went down, and so I do have experience very early on.

I've also applied to almost 100 middle market investment banks and boutiques but have barely even heard back from them

what should I do? Is MS Internal Audit a good place to be? Or is it soo far away from front office that it'd be impossible for me to network my way there?

I accepted an internship in the same division at Goldman. Is Internal Audit considered middle or back office? Definitely not revenue generating...does back or middle even make a differnce? Is it basically a 9-5 gig? Is there a lot of travel involved like with other auditors?
