Summer Internship as final year student

I have recently received an offer for the MSc in Accounting and Finance at LSE. I still have to hear back from Bloomberg for a 2018 summer analyst position, otherwise I won't have any major finance-related experience when I finish my Master in the summer of 2019 (it's very rare that an Italian student gets an internship during his bachelor, it seems that most companies recruit Italian students during their master degrees). Given my situation, will I be eligible to apply for a summer position in IB for 2019 even though I am technically in my final year of studies? I have seen many people (e.g. on Linkedin) getting offers for summer internship positions (even at GS or JP) after a 1 year MSc program at LSE even with no prior relevant work experience. I have also heard that some people just write in their Cover Letters about their intention to pursue another MSc, but I'm not sure that's the right choice... any suggestions?

What you should really do is apply and see what they say. If they all say no, then ask why. If this is the case (and hopefully it will not be), you at least will know why they rejected you and you will also know that you tried. I would network with analysts at banks, not the higher levels; they will be more sympathetic to your story because that was their story not too long ago as well.
