Summer Internship Costs
My summer internship begins late June and it ends late August. According to HR interns get paid monthly like all other employees.
Assuming payroll runs from the very beginning of the month, my first pay would land late July/early August.
My question is, how do people budget for that period up to the first payment??
Rent is about £200-£250 weekly, transport about £150-£200 monthly + food and any other miscellaneous costs.
P.S.: I’m am international student and that is quite a significant amount of money to spend upfront.
Salary is usually paid ~20th. Just borrow from your parents or a friend till you get paid. If you are at a BB you should be getting a 1k relocation bonus.
