Summer Internship Question

Hey guys,

I'm fairly new to this place, in terms of being registered, but I've read this stuff for a while and its been really beneficial. I have a question regarding summer internships. I am going into my junior year in LA and am starting to gear up for recruiting season. In terms of next summer, what would provide better opportunities, come FT: GS IBD or Houlihan Lokey restructuring? I have my foot in the door in both places, and have connections with execs at HL, so its not too ridiculous of a question to be asking this far ahead of time.

Thank you

I kind of hope your are joking...but just in case your not...There are many people on this site that would sell their mother into slavery for the just the possibility that their resume would be considered for an interview at GS IBD.

HL in my opinion.

You will be able to land a FT GS interview with that experience, if you end up deciding to go that route. If you end up' getting a FT offer after your HL stint, you may burn a few bridges if you decide to shop around and accept another offer.

Also, GS is a more recognizable name outside of IB/finance (if that matters). But if you are fairly certain you want to to IB after graduation, I would work your ass off to get a return offer from HL.
