Suntrust Robinson Humphrey's Target Schools

I was wondering if any one knew where this firm primarily recruits from. I was thinking that some southern semi targets (emory, GA Tech, maybe UGA) might be on the list. If anyone is familiar with the firm and has any insight it would be much appreciated.

I know plenty of people that are at STRH from Southeastern State schools. Particularly UGA. The comment above is not correct. Obviously your odds are better at the schools above, but they do not strictly recruit from those schools.

+1 in my experience; they really like their southern schools.

I have a friend there. Seems like really nice guys. Pays less than NYC from what I heard, but you also work a lot less. ATL is a dope city, and COL is ridiculously low. Will live very comfortably on a banking salary.

Heard that Lev Fin is definitely their strongest group; it seems to be a BS heavy bank. Exits seem to be either lateraling to BB's or lower MM PE.

Agreed with most of the above. The people I know at STRH are from the top tier southern schools like Vandy/Duke/Wake/UVA. Apart from UVA and UNC, I am not sure how the big public schools fair in recruiting. I do know that they recruit on UGA's campus, but I don't know anything about other southern public schools (Bama/Auburn/USC, etc.)

I've also heard that LevFin is the place to be. I think the M&A group is just starting to gain some traction as well.

Clemson University has dominated the last few analyst classes ('15 '16 '17) followed by UFlorida and then UNC - Chapel Hill. This is due to Clemson's emphasis on accounting courses even in it's Finance program.

Where do you go to school bro?

He definitely goes to Clemson haha. That's only something we would know. We only dominate the Credit Group and then people lateral out. That being said he does have a point, we're required to take minimum of 6 accounting classes as Finance majors.

I was from a non-target for them and got interviews by networking with Alumni from my school.

I had 2 phone interviews then went in for a superday in October where I had 3 interviews back to back. Technical but not extremely, no really hard questions, you should look on the interview questions on WSO and they're pretty accurate. BTW this was all for FT recruiting, I did a summer analyst summer at a different bank.

Bump. I'm at a target (H/P/Wharton) for NYC banks but not really for ATL/Charlotte firms. I cannot find any information anywhere about the application process for FT new analysts- only lateral hires. I'd appreciate it if anyone had any insight on the process.
