Sustainable buy-side lateral

Hi - this is my first post so please bear with me. I recently graduated from a top 25 undergraduate program and landed an analyst position advising institutional assets at a blue-ribbon firm as an impact investing specialist. I like my work but I am finding that I am more interested in moving to a more direct buy side impact investing manager (I work with a lot of them day to day). I have worked with a lot of emerging managers in impact investing during college as well and have built a strong network. However, my current role doesn’t offer any modeling or deal-making exposure, which is something all of these VC/PE impact firms are looking for. In fact I have had recruiters contact me only to drop me due to my lack of IB experience. I bring a wealth of niche impact investing and climate finance knowledge to the table but of course that doesn’t make up for my lack of modeling experience. On one hand, I could continue to network and hope that I get extremely lucky and land an entry level position at a small manager (people at my firm have done it before). On the other, I could look for a more traditional analyst role at a boutique bank. Full time IB recruiting (and hours) sounds like a bitch, but if it is a necessary means to an end then so be it. Are there any entry level positions at banks that have a sustainability focus? Maybe that would make it more bearable given my passion for impact. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks!
