SWE vs IB in 2025?
Given everything that has changed since this poll was last asked on this forum (2022 era), which would you choose if you had new grad offers in both SWE and IB? In 2024 everyone was saying how SWEs would be laid off, but the truth is SWEs seem to be paid more than ever, especially with the AI-fueled massive stock growth that doesn't seem to be stopping, and generational wealth being minted from AI startups. IB->PE path seems to be mostly the same. Asking this as a CS major at a target who has both options, not someone who is just entertaining a "what if".
